Title: Academic Fellow and Litigation Cum Research Associate at NLU Delhi (Project 39A) Category: Jobs Organiser: National Law University, Delhi (Project 39A) Description: National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) is inviting applications for the contractual positions of Academic Fellow and Litigation Cum Research Associate under Project 39A. Project 39A is a specialized center at NLUD dedicated to criminal justice reform, legal aid, and empirical legal research. The university is currently expanding its team to strengthen its impact on research-driven policy, capacity building, and institutional reform within the Indian criminal justice system. The Litigation Cum Research Associate will be responsible for conducting legal research, undertaking fieldwork, assisting in litigation strategy, and briefing senior advocates. The Academic Fellow will focus on managing research and policy projects, designing empirical studies, and coordinating with various state and central agencies. Both roles require a commitment to advancing the project's goals through academic outputs, reports, and administrative support. Eligibility: For Litigation Cum Research Associate: * Graduate degree in Law (LL.B.). * Familiarity with criminal law and the Indian criminal justice system. * Proficiency in English and at least one Indian language. * Prior experience in litigation or legal research is desirable. For Academic Fellow: * LL.M. or a relevant Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade). * Strong academic record. * Prior experience in research, project coordination, or policy work. * Experience in fieldwork and data collection is desirable.
