Description: The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians (CTSI) is seeking an Administrative Legal Counsel to lead the Office of Administrative Legal Counsel. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal advice to the Tribal Administration, represent the executive branch in judicial and administrative forums (including Tribal, State, and Federal courts), and draft or review legal documents and ordinances. Responsibilities also include supervising department personnel and managing the departmental budget.
Eligibility: Applicants must be graduates of an accredited law school and members in good standing of a State Bar (Oregon or a state with reciprocity). Siletz Tribal Member applicants will receive mentorship for up to one year; non-tribal applicants must have at least three years of legal practice experience. Candidates must join the Siletz Tribal Court Bar within 30 days of hire and the Oregon State Bar within one year. A valid driver's license is required.
