Description: A publicly-traded, global AI/data services company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to support a sophisticated legal function. The role involves a mix of employment counseling, commercial contracts, privacy, compliance, and business advisory work. Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating SaaS and licensing agreements, providing practical employment advice to HR, and advising on regulatory risks. The position reports directly to the General Counsel.
Eligibility: Candidates must hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to the New Jersey Bar (or eligible for NJ in-house certification). Required experience includes 5 to 7+ years of legal practice, specifically focusing on labor and employment counseling and commercial contract negotiation. Prior in-house or public company experience in the tech/AI sector is strongly preferred.
