Genesys, a global leader in AI-powered experience orchestration, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional for the position of Associate Corporate Counsel. This remote-based role in the United States offers an exciting opportunity for early-to-mid-career legal professionals to join a dynamic in-house legal team. The successful candidate will provide critical commercial legal support to the sales organization, helping drive business growth while effectively mitigating corporate risk in a fast-paced technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Associate Corporate Counsel will handle a broad range of technology transactions and operational issues. Primary duties include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, with a specific focus on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and cloud services agreements.
- Managing amendments, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), statements of work (SOWs), Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams—including Data Privacy, Security, Product Counsel, and Finance—to align contracting standards with company risk management policies.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory developments in cloud computing, data privacy, and artificial intelligence (AI).
- Preparing standard templates for recurring commercial transactions and developing internal playbooks and best practices.
Eligibility & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Law degree (J.D. or equivalent) from an accredited US law school.
- Bar Admission: Active member in good standing of the Bar in any US State or Territory, with the right to reside and work in the United States.
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably gained within an in-house corporate legal department or a reputable law firm handling technology transactions.
- Skills: Strong competencies in contract drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder communication, alongside a business-oriented, problem-solving mindset.
Compensation & Benefits
Genesys offers a highly competitive base salary range of $95,000.00 to $167,000.00, depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location. The role may also qualify for performance-based bonus opportunities. The comprehensive benefits package includes:
