This is a remote-first position based in the United States, offering an exceptional opportunity for early-to-mid-career legal professionals to support a fast-growing technology enterprise.
Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide commercial legal support to the North American sales organization, helping drive business growth while effectively mitigating corporate risk. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, with a specific focus on cloud services, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), statements of work (SOWs), Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), and Business Associate Agreements (BAAs).
- Advising internal business units on legal issues surrounding data privacy, security, and artificial intelligence (AI).
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Security, Finance, and Product Counsel, to align contracting standards with company risk management policies.
- Developing and updating standard templates, playbooks, and best practices for recurring commercial transactions.
Eligibility & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A law degree (J.D. or equivalent) from an accredited law school.
- Bar Admission: Active membership in good standing with the Bar of any U.S. State or Territory, having successfully passed a bar exam.
- Experience: At least 2+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably gained in-house within the technology sector.
- Work Authorization: Must have the legal right to reside and work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience negotiating cloud computing or contact center technology contracts, strong conversational intelligence, and a proven ability to handle customer-facing negotiations with diplomacy and empathy.
Compensation & Benefits
Genesys offers a competitive compensation package and a robust benefits suite, including:
- Base Salary Range: $95,000.00 to $167,000.00 per year (dependent on experience, skills, and location).
