This role is central to supporting the rapid global expansion of AWS data centers, focusing on land acquisitions, leases, zoning entitlement work, and serviced licenses. The successful candidate will provide daily legal counsel and contract interpretation to internal business teams, ensuring the smooth execution of both standard and complex, high-value bespoke agreements. The responsibilities include structuring, drafting, and negotiating various real estate documents, managing outside counsel, and advising internal clients on portfolio management. Additionally, the counsel will be expected to implement process improvements, resolve legal issues arising from existing commercial relationships, and handle pre-litigation disputes. This position requires a professional who demonstrates sound judgment in ambiguous situations and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Eligibility: * Qualified lawyer with outstanding academic and legal qualifications. * Minimum of 3+ years of legal experience. * Significant experience drafting and negotiating real estate transactional documents, such as leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements, and development agreements. * Preferred: A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience. * Preferred: Experience with development/entitlement work and managing multiple projects under aggressive deadlines.
