Job Title: Associate Corporate Counsel, AWS Legal

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented attorney to support the AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services legal team. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to business leadership, support complex cloud technology transactions, and find and develop innovative solutions that enable us to scale legal support to our global client base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary transactional drafting and negotiation responsibilities on deals (including highly-complex, high-value, strategic negotiations)
• Provide ongoing legal counsel and contract interpretation guidance for business team members
• Participate in other AWS legal work streams, including managing legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships
• Advise on risk related to new business initiatives, and advise on pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries

Basic Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
• 2+ years of legal experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with in-house work at a technology or internet company
• Knowledge of and experience with cloud infrastructure technologies
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts
