Genesys, a global leader in AI-powered experience orchestration, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Corporate Counsel to join its dynamic legal team. This is a full-time, remote-first position based in the United States, offering a unique opportunity to support a fast-growing technology organization at the intersection of cloud computing, SaaS, and artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide commercial legal support to the North American sales organization, helping drive growth while mitigating risks. Key duties include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, with a focus on cloud services, SaaS agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), and statements of work (SOWs).
- Advising on data privacy, data security, and artificial intelligence compliance issues.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Data Privacy, Security, Product Counsel, and Finance, to align with company risk management processes.
- Preparing and updating standard templates, playbooks, and contracting standards.
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments affecting cloud-based software solutions.
Eligibility & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Law degree (J.D. or equivalent) from an accredited law school.
- Bar Admission: Active member in good standing of any US State or Territory Bar.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably gained within an in-house corporate legal department.
- Skills: Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a business-oriented, problem-solving mindset.
- Work Authorization: Right to reside and work within the United States.
Compensation & Benefits
Genesys offers a highly competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits, including:
- Base Salary: $95,000.00 - $167,000.00 (dependent on experience, skills, and location), with potential eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
