About the Opportunity

Amazon is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Associate Corporate Counsel to join its Prime Video Legal team in Culver City, California. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of entertainment, technology, and artificial intelligence, advising on cutting-edge content deals and shaping the future of global entertainment.

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Corporate Counsel, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following key tasks:

• Structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex distribution, development, licensing, production, technology, and other commercial agreements.
• Advising business teams on intellectual property, new product initiatives, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Leading the integration of artificial intelligence and advanced legal tech tools (such as CoCounsel, Spellbook, or Harvey AI) to streamline legal operations and contract management.
• Serving as lead counsel on strategic content acquisition deals and managing ongoing commercial relationships.
• Researching emerging regulatory matters and new product initiatives impacting the entertainment sector.

Eligibility Criteria

Basic Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in at least one state bar (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2+ years of post-bar admission legal experience.
• Experience in private practice or in-house legal departments, preferably at a technology or entertainment company.
• Demonstrated experience in transactional work, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Familiarity or experience with AI/ML technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A combination of corporate law firm and in-house experience.
• Experience in web services, cloud computing, software licensing, or telecommunications.
• Knowledge of specific legal AI tools and ethical considerations surrounding AI in legal practice (e.g., confidentiality, bias prevention).

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position in Culver City, CA is $131,500.00 to $178,000.00 USD annually. In addition to the base salary, Amazon's compensation package includes:
