Description: O’Connell Electric Company is seeking a highly organized, self-driven, and detail-oriented Associate Counsel. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and taking direction from the Associate General Counsel, the successful candidate will collaborate on a wide range of legal issues impacting the company's construction business. Key responsibilities include reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating construction-related agreements, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, mitigating legal and financial risks, and assisting with construction claims and disputes.
Eligibility:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the New York State Bar (recent graduates sitting for the NY Bar Exam with strong academic performance and work ethic may be considered).
• Prior legal internship, externship, or clerkship experience is preferred, particularly in construction, labor/employment, commercial contracts, litigation, or corporate law.

Compensation: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year (dependent on geographic location, skills, experience, and travel).
