Associate Counsel

Reporting to the General Counsel, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support across all bank departments, with a specialized focus on commercial lending transactions, loan workout matters, litigation, and vendor contract review. The role involves drafting and reviewing complex commercial lending documentation, including promissory notes, mortgages, and security agreements. Additionally, the Associate Counsel will be responsible for negotiating non-disclosure agreements, overseeing foreclosure and collection matters, and conducting in-depth legal research into banking regulations, real estate, and bankruptcy laws. Eligibility: * Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. * Current license to practice law in Minnesota (or another U.S. state with the ability to practice in-house in Minnesota). * Minimum of 5+ years of legal experience, specifically in finance, banking, loan collection, bankruptcy, or a related field. * Working knowledge of federal and state commercial lending laws and various entity types. * Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. * Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
