- Researching laws and preparing legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda.
- Rendering opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department.
- Preparing and handling pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions, examinations before trial, and examinations under oath.
- Defending assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license in good standing to practice law in California.
- 2-6+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense and/or personal injury.
- Ability to travel as required for trials, hearings, depositions, and meetings.
