Description: NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking an Associate Counsel (Level B) to join its Central Labor Relations Department. The successful candidate will represent the health system in arbitration proceedings, fact-finding hearings, and administrative matters before the Office of Collective Bargaining and the Personnel Review Board. Responsibilities include negotiating settlements, providing legal advice on labor statutes, supervising staff within the Labor Relations AWOL and Time and Attendance Unit, and training employees on labor relations practices.
Eligibility: Applicants must be admitted to and hold active membership in the New York State Bar. Requirements include either three years of legal experience post-admission in litigation, labor law, or employee relations; or two years of post-admission legal experience combined with two years of progressively responsible managerial experience in a relevant field. Trial experience is preferred.
