The successful candidate will advise product and engineering teams on legal compliance, manage regulator inquiries, handle privacy incidents, negotiate data practices, and build internal frameworks. The position requires a privacy lawyer who thrives on complex, ambiguous product questions, navigating evolving global privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, UK data protection, and EU AI Act implications), and shaping how data is handled for millions of merchants at scale. The role emphasizes a proactive approach, strong judgment, and the ability to communicate complex privacy concepts clearly across various teams.
