D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking an Associate Region Counsel for its Richmond, TX office. Under the direction of the Region Counsel, the selected candidate will provide support, assistance, and advice on all regional legal matters, with a strong emphasis on land acquisition. Key responsibilities include drafting contracts, reviewing homebuyer and subcontractor documents, resolving disputes, and advising on safety, construction, and warranty issues. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on land acquisition, development, and disposition.
• Review and revise homebuyer and subcontractor contract documents.
• Advise on RESPA issues, construction, warranty, and safety programs (including OSHA).
• Coordinate with outside counsel as necessary.
• Supervise legal department staff as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with corporate or environmental law.
• Strong communication skills, multi-tasking ability, and attention to detail.
