The organization is currently IPO-ready and provides services to institutional clients, family offices, and sophisticated investors across custody, trading, and yield strategies. This executive role is designed for a legal leader capable of navigating complex regulatory landscapes and unlocking the next stage of the company's scale. The successful candidate will serve as the senior legal leader and a trusted advisor to the CEO, executive team, and board of directors. Primary responsibilities include overseeing all legal matters, defining the firm’s regulatory perimeter, and managing relationships with federal and state agencies. The role also involves structuring complex financial products across digital assets and leading strategic initiatives such as M&A and international expansion. Beyond advisory duties, the Chief Legal Officer will be responsible for building and scaling a best-in-class legal and compliance function. This includes designing global entity and licensing strategies while managing external counsel to ensure high-impact legal support. The position offers a competitive executive compensation package, including a significant base salary, bonuses, and equity. Eligibility: * Minimum of 12 years of legal experience. * Previous experience as a senior in-house counsel or General Counsel within the fintech, financial services, or digital assets sectors. * Deep understanding of SEC and investment adviser frameworks, with exposure to trading, lending, or structured financial products. * Proven track record of operating in high-growth, venture-backed environments. * Demonstrated ability to engage directly with regulators and executive stakeholders. * Licensed to practice law in the United States (licensure in New York is preferred).
