Description: The IUCN is seeking a National Consultant or Consultancy Firm for the 'Pamoja Tuhifadhi Bahari Yetu Project.' The assignment involves facilitating the development and revision of management plans, action plans, and bylaws for three Collaborative Fisheries Management Areas (CFMAs) in the Mtwara Seascape. The consultant will conduct stakeholder consultations, assess governance frameworks, and ensure all instruments align with the Tanzania Mainland Fisheries legislation and local government procedures. The project aims to improve environmental protection and biodiversity conservation of coastal and marine ecosystems.
Eligibility: Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Marine Science, Environmental Governance, or a related discipline, with at least 7 years of experience in coastal and marine resource management. Proficiency in English and Swahili, along with a deep understanding of Tanzanian fisheries laws and district bylaw approval procedures, is essential.
