Sezzle is seeking a Contracts Attorney to join its growing in-house Legal team. This role serves as the day-to-day owner of commercial contracting work, vendor procurement, sales and merchant agreements, and technology transactions. The successful candidate will partner closely with Procurement, Sales, Engineering, Product, and Information Security to move deals across the finish line while protecting Sezzle’s commercial, regulatory, and data interests. This role serves as the day-to-day owner of commercial contracting work, vendor procurement, sales and merchant agreements, and technology transactions. The successful candidate will partner closely with Procurement, Sales, Engineering, Product, and Information Security to move deals across the finish line while protecting Sezzle’s commercial, regulatory, and data interests. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad portfolio of commercial agreements (MSAs, SaaS, SOWs, NDAs, etc.).
- Lead vendor procurement contracting end-to-end from intake and risk triage through redlines and negotiation.
- Support the Sales organization on merchant and partner agreements.
- Review and negotiate data protection agreements (DPAs), standard contractual clauses, and security exhibits.
- Maintain and continuously improve Sezzle’s contract templates, playbooks, and self-service resources.
