LATICRETE International, a global leader in high-performance construction and building finishing solutions, is seeking a highly qualified and ambitious professional to fill the role of Director, Legal. Operating as a family-owned business for over 65 years with a presence in over 100 countries, LATICRETE is looking for a sole in-house legal advisor to manage its global legal affairs. This is a remote position based in Nevada, United States, requiring approximately 25% travel, including international trips.
Key Responsibilities
The Director, Legal will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will oversee all corporate, regulatory, and operational legal matters. Key duties include:
- Corporate & Business Law: Overseeing corporate governance, board meetings, shareholder communications, and managing legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Regulatory Compliance: Collaborating with the Enterprise Risk and Audit Director to ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international laws.
- Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Managing global litigation, claims, and disputes, including selecting and managing external counsel to control legal spend.
- Contract Management: Drafting and reviewing critical commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and licensing deals.
- Intellectual Property: Protecting and enforcing the company's global IP portfolio (patents, trademarks, trade secrets) in coordination with international teams.
- Employment Law: Advising Human Resources on labor relations, compliance, and workplace safety.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this senior leadership role:
- Education: Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Bar Admission: Active bar membership in good standing.
- Experience: 10+ years of corporate legal experience, with a preference for at least 2 years in a law firm and the majority in-house. Experience as a sole or lead counsel in a global organization is highly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in global manufacturing, distribution, chemical industries, or building products is highly advantageous.
- Skills: Strong commercial acumen, exceptional ethical standards, and the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business advice.
Compensation & Benefits
LATICRETE International offers a highly competitive compensation package:
- Base Salary: $230,000 to $290,000 per annum (excluding bonuses and other incentives).

- Work Arrangement: Remote role with a 25% travel requirement.
