LATICRETE International, a global leader in high-performance tile and stone installation systems and building finishing solutions, is seeking an experienced and strategic legal professional to join their team as the Director, Legal. This is a highly impactful, remote-first role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), requiring approximately 25% global travel.

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

The Director, Legal will serve as the sole in-house legal advisor for LATICRETE International and its global affiliates. The successful candidate will oversee the company's legal affairs, manage external counsel, and provide strategic guidance on corporate, regulatory, and operational matters. Key responsibilities include:

  • Corporate Governance & M&A: Overseeing corporate governance, board meetings, and shareholder communications. Managing legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk: Ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and international laws, and identifying potential legal risks.
  • Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Managing global litigation, claims, and disputes, and selecting and managing external counsel to control legal spend.
  • Contract Negotiation: Drafting and reviewing critical commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and licensing deals.
  • Employment & IP: Advising Human Resources on employment law and overseeing the protection and enforcement of the company's global intellectual property portfolio.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this executive-level position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission: Active Bar membership in good standing.
  • Experience: 10+ years of corporate legal experience, with a preference for at least two years at a law firm and the majority spent in-house. Experience serving as a sole or lead in-house counsel in a global organization is highly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in a global manufacturing company, chemical industry, or building products sector is highly advantageous.

Compensation & Benefits

LATICRETE International offers a highly competitive compensation package and robust benefits, including:

  • Base Salary: $230,000 to $290,000 per annum (excluding bonuses and other incentives).
