LATICRETE International, a global leader in high-performance building finishing solutions and tile installation systems, is seeking a highly qualified and ambitious legal professional to join their team as Director, Legal. This is a remote-first role requiring global travel, with the selected candidate serving as the sole in-house legal advisor for LATICRETE International and its global affiliates.

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Director, Legal will oversee the company's global legal affairs, manage external counsel, and provide strategic guidance on corporate, regulatory, and operational matters. Key responsibilities include:

  • Corporate Governance & M&A: Overseeing corporate governance, board meetings, shareholder communications, and managing legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Partnering with the Enterprise Risk and Audit Director to ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international laws.
  • Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Managing global litigation, claims, and investigations, selecting external counsel, and controlling legal spend.
  • Contract & IP Management: Drafting and reviewing critical commercial contracts, and overseeing the protection and enforcement of the company's global intellectual property portfolio.
  • Employment Law: Advising Human Resources and management on global employment relations, compliance, and workplace regulations.

Eligibility & Qualifications

To be considered for this senior leadership position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission: Active bar membership in good standing.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of corporate legal experience. Candidates with at least two years of law firm experience combined with substantial in-house experience in a global organization are highly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in a global manufacturing company, chemical industry, or building products sector is highly advantageous.
  • Skills: Proven track record in M&A, global contract drafting, IP strategy, and managing external legal budgets.

Compensation, Benefits & Work Location

This is a remote position requiring approximately 25% travel (including international travel). LATICRETE International offers a highly competitive compensation package:

  • Base Salary: $230,000 to $290,000 per annum (excluding bonuses and other benefits).
