Eligibility
Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school; Bar membership in good standing; 10+ years of corporate legal experience (preferable with at least two years at a law firm and majority as in-house experience); Demonstrated experience serving as a sole or lead in-house counsel in a global organization highly preferred; Experience in global manufacturing company selling through distribution preferred; Experience in chemical industry and/or building products a plus; International experience a plus; Previous experience in acquiring and divesting companies a plus; Broad experience across corporate, commercial, regulatory, manufacturing, employment, IP, litigation and compliance law; Strong understanding of product liability, regulatory compliance, EHS and manufacturing risk profiles; Strong knowledge of corporate law, regulatory compliance; Experience working with employment law and partnering with Human Resources; Experience managing mergers and acquisitions highly preferred; Experience drafting and reviewing major and critical contracts; Proven ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice; Demonstrated ability to manage external legal counsel and legal budgets effectively; Exceptional judgment, discretion and ethical standards; Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical guidance; Strong executive presence; Experienced in defining and defending intellectual property; Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities; Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Description: LATICRETE International is seeking a Director, Legal to serve as the sole in-house legal advisor for the company and its affiliates. This position reports directly to the CFO and will oversee all legal affairs, manage external counsel, and provide strategic legal guidance on corporate, regulatory, and operational matters. The role involves close collaboration with senior leadership to support company growth, manage risk, and ensure legal compliance, requiring a pragmatic, entrepreneurial mindset aligned with a family-owned organization with professional governance. The position is remote but requires global travel.

Eligibility: Applicants must possess a Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school and bar membership in good standing. A minimum of 10 years of corporate legal experience is required, preferably with at least two years at a law firm and the majority as in-house experience. Demonstrated experience as a sole or lead in-house counsel in a global organization is highly preferred. Experience in global manufacturing, the chemical industry, building products, and international experience are advantageous. Candidates should have broad experience across corporate, commercial, regulatory, manufacturing, employment, IP, litigation, and compliance law, along with strong judgment, discretion, and communication skills.
