LATICRETE International, a globally recognized, family-owned construction brand with a legacy spanning over 65 years, is seeking a highly accomplished legal professional to join their team as Director, Legal. This is a remote-first role based in Georgia, requiring approximately 25% international and domestic travel.

Role Overview

The Director, Legal will serve as the sole in-house legal advisor for LATICRETE International and its global affiliates, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this highly strategic role, the successful candidate will manage the company's global legal affairs, oversee external counsel, and provide pragmatic legal guidance to senior leadership to support business growth while mitigating risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Governance & M&A: Oversee corporate governance, board meetings, and shareholder communications. Lead legal strategies for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate reorganizations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with the Enterprise Risk and Audit Director to ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international laws.
  • Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Manage global litigation, claims, and investigations. Select, retain, and manage external counsel to optimize legal spend.
  • Commercial Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate critical commercial contracts, vendor agreements, licensing, and partnership deals.
  • Employment Law: Partner with Human Resources to advise on global labor laws, employee relations, benefits, and workplace safety.
  • Intellectual Property: Oversee the protection, development, and enforcement of the company's extensive global IP portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission: Active Bar membership in good standing.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of corporate legal experience. Candidates with at least 2 years of law firm experience combined with substantial in-house experience are preferred.
  • Industry Preference: Prior experience in a global manufacturing, chemical, or building products company is highly advantageous.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $230,000 to $290,000 per annum (excluding bonuses and other incentives).
