This executive-level role involves building the company's legal function from the ground up, providing strategic counsel to the CEO, executive team, and board on business, legal, and governance matters as the organization scales toward new markets. The General Counsel will oversee a comprehensive range of legal responsibilities, including enterprise commercial contracting, privacy and data protection, and product counseling. Key highlights of the role include driving M&A and strategic transactions, managing employment law matters, and developing scalable legal policies. The position offers a high degree of ownership and the opportunity to implement modern, AI-enabled legal technology to improve departmental efficiency. Eligibility: * J.D. from an accredited law school and an active bar membership in good standing. * Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with a preferred combination of law firm and in-house roles. * Demonstrated expertise in negotiating complex enterprise commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements and MSAs. * Deep knowledge of privacy and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). * Hands-on experience with M&A transactions, board governance, and employment law. * Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business guidance.
