The selected candidate will leverage their legal expertise to train next-generation AI systems, directly shaping how advanced models learn, reason, and perform in real-world legal scenarios.
Role Overview
This position is structured as a remote contract fellowship simulating real-world contract negotiation and drafting scenarios. As a General Counsel in this role, you will not just perform traditional legal reviews, but will actively evaluate and refine AI-generated legal outputs. Your deep domain knowledge will serve as the ground truth for training advanced AI models to identify risks, suggest redlines, and draft legally sound agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Training & Evaluation: Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises. Evaluate AI-generated suggestions for legal accuracy, risk identification, and overall soundness.
- Feedback & Optimization: Review and assess AI responses to complex contract scenarios, providing expert feedback to improve model performance and output precision.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product and research teams (including Crosby's product teams) to refine training data, annotation guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review.
- Compliance & Guidance: Provide expert guidance on contract drafting, review, and negotiation to ensure compliance with relevant international laws and regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Relevant Experience: Proven experience in contract review, negotiation, and drafting, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked on technology transactions or AI-driven projects.
- Analytical Capabilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with automated and AI-driven contract reviews.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, suitable for working effectively with cross-functional technical and product teams.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks governing artificial intelligence and automated contract systems.
Compensation and Work Structure
- Payout: Highly competitive hourly rate ranging from $80 to $105 per hour.
