McGregor Boyall is seeking an experienced and collaborative Real Estate Lawyer / In-House Counsel to join a dynamic legal team supporting a significant property portfolio. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for delivering a robust funding and securitisation strategy for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide specialist legal advice and manage transactions to support long-term organizational growth. Key duties include:

  • Legal Advisory: Providing expert legal advice on property charging, securitisation, financing, and refinancing matters.
  • Due Diligence: Conducting legal due diligence on properties and resolving complex title issues and defects.
  • Process Management: Ensuring charging and securitisation processes remain compliant, efficient, and robust.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams, development departments, and external legal advisers to ensure properties meet funder requirements.
  • External Counsel Management: Instructing and managing external solicitors to ensure transactions are completed on time and within budget.
  • Mentorship: Acting as a subject matter expert, promoting best practices, and mentoring junior colleagues.

Eligibility & Experience Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Qualifications: Must be a Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in the UK.
  • Real Estate Expertise: Substantial experience in real estate law, with proven experience advising on property charging and securitisation.
  • Technical Skills: Strong background in legal due diligence, resolving complex title issues, and understanding lender requirements.
  • Professional Skills: Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Work Authorization: Must have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation & Work Structure

  • Salary: Up to £55,424 depending on Post-Qualified Experience (PQE).
  • Work Model: Hybrid working from office locations in Exeter, Tolvaddon, Norwich, or Tewkesbury.
