The successful candidate will manage the legal aspects of the default loan pipeline, collaborating with operations, servicing, and executive teams to protect the company's interests and streamline internal processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage collections, defaults, and loss-mitigation matters.
- Prepare and file foreclosure documents, affidavits, and court pleadings.
- Manage relationships with outside counsel to reduce external legal spend.
- Respond to bankruptcy filings, motions, and court deadlines.
- Draft and review loan-related legal documents, notices, and correspondence.
- Develop internal legal SOPs to strengthen process and risk controls.
