Galpin Motors is seeking a dynamic, full-time attorney with at least 5 years of experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and corporate compliance to join their collaborative Legal Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modern Contract Management: Review, negotiate, and revise a wide variety of commercial contracts in collaboration with business units, HR, compliance, sales, and executive management.
• Regulatory & Data Compliance: Provide legal support on regulatory compliance matters, including corporate policy development, privacy regulations, responding to subpoenas, and handling regulatory requests.
• Real Estate Transactions: Assist with legal matters related to dealership property and real estate, including drafting and reviewing leasing and transaction documents.
• Proactive Risk Management: Stay ahead of industry-specific regulations and legal trends, designing and implementing practical risk management strategies to protect the organization.
• Corporate Governance: Draft and review corporate documentation to ensure compliance and strict alignment with overarching business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the California State Bar (or qualified to register as California In-House Counsel).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably with corporate in-house experience.
• Proven track record in contract negotiation, drafting, and compliance policy implementation.
• Familiarity with consumer privacy laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA) and regulations applicable to the automotive, dealership, or retail sectors is highly desirable.

What Galpin Motors Offers:

• Base pay range: $140,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr
