Opportunity Overview: In-House Counsel at Blue Coral Staffing Corp.
Blue Coral Staffing Corp. is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on legal professional to join their team as In-House Counsel in Boston, MA. This is a full-time, 100% on-site position requiring a five-day-per-week physical presence. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Counsel and work closely with senior leadership to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice across a broad range of legal, regulatory, and risk matters in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
The In-House Counsel will support the organization across predominantly U.S. and some international operations. Key duties include:
- Contract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client engagements, vendor agreements, and strategic arrangements.
- Corporate Governance: Supporting entity management, board-related matters, and internal governance practices.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Advising on U.S. and international employment laws, tax implications, permits, and data protection frameworks (including GDPR and U.S. privacy laws).
- Restructuring & Insolvency: Assisting with Chapter 11 proceedings, receivership matters, court-mandated actions, and fiduciary engagements.
- Dispute Resolution: Managing litigation, disputes, and claims, including coordinating with external legal counsel.
- Risk Mitigation: Conducting legal research and establishing internal controls to minimize regulatory exposure.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be considered for this role:
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Bar Admission: Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar.
- Experience: 4 to 6 years of relevant legal experience gained within a law firm and/or an in-house corporate legal department.
- Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and corporate governance. Exposure to restructuring, insolvency, or fiduciary engagements is highly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a highly competitive compensation package, including:
- Base Salary: $175,000 to $225,000 per annum (commensurate with experience).
- Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus potential of 20% to 25%.
