Based in Denver, Colorado, this role is designed for a legal professional dedicated to advancing sustainable solutions through innovation. The successful candidate will support a growing portfolio of power supply agreements and renewable generation projects, playing a pivotal role in the energy transition. The position offers a competitive salary range of $175,000–$200,000 plus a bonus. The primary responsibilities involve drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), tolling agreements, and interconnection agreements. The counsel will provide legal support across all phases of project development, advising on load flexibility, sustainability commitments, and risk identification. Furthermore, the role entails ensuring compliance with FERC, state utility commission, and RTO/ISO regulations while managing relationships with external counsel and maintaining internal legal playbooks. Eligibility: * J.D. from an accredited law school. * Active bar admission in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction). * 5–8 years of transactional legal experience, with specific expertise in energy contracts, project development, or infrastructure law. * Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate PPAs, EPC contracts, O&M agreements, and/or interconnection agreements. * Exceptional analytical and legal drafting skills.
