Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will report directly to the Lead Commercial Counsel and take on a broad, commercially focused remit. Key duties include:

• Contract Management: Leading negotiations and drafting a wide range of commercial contracts, including both customer-facing and supplier-facing agreements.
• Corporate Finance Support: Assisting on corporate finance transactions and strategic business initiatives.
• Stakeholder Advisory: Providing clear, actionable legal advice across all levels of the UK business, including close collaboration with internal departments such as the bids and tenders team.
• External Counsel Management: Overseeing and managing relationships with external legal partners to ensure cost-effective and high-quality delivery of legal services.
• Compliance & General Advisory: Advising the business on general legal, regulatory, and compliance matters to mitigate corporate risk.

Eligibility & Candidate Profile

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of Post Qualified Experience (PQE) specializing in commercial law.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong business acumen with the ability to navigate a fast-paced, customer-facing, and sales-driven environment.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively engage and influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Location Commitment: Ability to commit to a hybrid working model, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week at the company's headquarters in the East Midlands, with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining 3 days.
