Description: Colas Inc. is seeking an experienced M&A attorney to join its 9-person in-house legal team. The successful candidate will primarily support strategic growth initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures. Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating definitive purchase agreements, coordinating legal due diligence, managing regulatory compliance (including antitrust/HSR), and supporting post-close integration. Additionally, the role involves providing legal advice on operational matters related to road construction, such as heavy highway contracts and aggregate extraction agreements.
Eligibility: Applicants must possess a J.D. from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice law within the United States. Candidates should have between 6 to 12 years of M&A experience gained either in-house or at a well-respected law firm. Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
