The position is fully remote, allowing selected candidates to work from anywhere in the world while earning a highly competitive hourly rate.

Role Overview

As a Contracting Attorney, you will contribute your domain expertise to evaluate and refine AI model outputs. By participating in simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises, you will directly shape how AI models learn, reason, and perform across critical industries such as finance, healthcare, and engineering. No prior experience in artificial intelligence is required; the focus is entirely on your legal expertise and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Simulated Negotiations: Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises to evaluate AI-generated suggestions for accuracy, risk identification, and legal soundness.
  • AI Output Evaluation: Review and assess AI responses to various contract scenarios, providing expert feedback to improve model performance and output precision.
  • Collaboration: Partner with product and research teams to refine training data, annotation guidelines, and evaluation criteria for AI model development.
  • Quality Control: Identify gaps, errors, or inconsistencies in AI-generated contract drafts and propose corrections aligned with global legal standards.
  • System Enhancement: Ensure high-quality legal inputs to enhance the overall reliability of AI systems used in contract drafting and negotiation.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

Candidates applying for this position must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in contract drafting, review, or negotiation within a legal or corporate environment.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with SaaS contracts, technology transactions, and data annotation practices in a legal context is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess legal risks and implications in complex contract-related scenarios.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to evaluate and provide constructive feedback on AI-generated outputs without requiring prior AI experience.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate legal reasoning and feedback clearly.

Compensation & Work Structure

  • Payout: $80 to $105 per hour, depending on experience and performance.
  • Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere).
