Role Overview & Compensation

As an Internal Lawyer at Gear Inc., you will act as the primary guardian of the company's legal integrity. The position is based in Singapore and offers a competitive base salary range of SGD 10,000.00 to SGD 12,000.00 per month, depending on the candidate's experience and skill set.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of legal matters for Gear Inc. and its subsidiaries. Primary duties include:

• Contract & Document Management: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide array of complex commercial agreements and legal documents to mitigate risks and maximize the company's legal rights.
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitoring updates in relevant laws and regulations to ensure the organization's policies align with local and international legal frameworks.
• Strategic Advisory: Providing proactive legal counsel to support business development, organizational policies, and ongoing corporate initiatives.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaising effectively with internal teams (such as project, procurement, enterprise, and marketing divisions) as well as external entities, including regulators, vendors, and clients.
• Risk Mitigation: Identifying potential legal exposures and implementing strategic solutions to eliminate or minimize corporate risk.

Eligibility & Requirements

To be considered for this highly collaborative role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) is mandatory. Possessing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) or a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree is highly advantageous.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in private practice or in-house corporate roles, specifically focusing on technology and services sectors within Singapore and the global region.
• Industry Expertise: Prior experience providing general counsel to global tech startups or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) organizations is strongly preferred.
• Legal Knowledge: Broad expertise across international business law, data privacy regulations, labor and employment law, and global taxation.
• Language Proficiency: Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent professional ethics, business sensitivity, and the ability to anticipate legal risks proactively.
