Deloitte Belgium is currently seeking an experienced legal professional to join their Tax and Legal Services team as a Manager Employment Advisory (Manager Sociaal Recht). This role is based in their Antwerp or Zaventem offices, offering a hybrid work environment and a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a Manager in the Employment Advisory division, you will act as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for clients, particularly family businesses and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs/KMOs). Your core responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Advisory: Critically evaluating organizational structures and business processes for clients.
- Client Portfolio Development: Actively supporting the expansion of the client portfolio in the Antwerp/Zaventem region, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of lawyers, tax specialists, accountants, and SME advisors.
- Labor & Social Security Law: Advising clients on employment contracts, working hours, salary optimization, extra-legal benefits, and employment measures.
- Corporate Restructuring: Guiding clients through the social and labor law implications of mergers, acquisitions, company takeovers, or closures.
- Legal Co-Sourcing: Providing integrated corporate law solutions through in-house services and legal co-sourcing.
- Team & Knowledge Growth: Contributing to the development of the team's legal competencies through external training, presentations, and academic research.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this senior legal advisory role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in social and labor law, preferably within a consulting or professional services environment.
- Education: A Master's degree in Law, supplemented by an advanced Master's degree in Social Law (Master na Master Sociaal Recht).
- Language Skills: Fluency in Dutch is mandatory. A strong working knowledge of French and English is considered a significant asset.
- Key Competencies: Excellent communication and advisory skills, strong client orientation, and a deep interest in the SME sector.
