DiDi Global Inc., the world’s leading mobility technology platform, is currently seeking a highly qualified legal professional for the position of Legal Manager. Based in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area, this full-time role is designed to provide critical legal support to the DiDi Shop and New Verticals teams in Mexico. The selected candidate will focus on delivering robust legal solutions across a variety of corporate and commercial matters, reporting directly to the DiDi Legal Director for Mobility and Delivery in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
As a Legal Manager at DiDi, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following core duties:
- Business Advisory: Act as the primary legal focal point for DiDi Shop and New Verticals, collaborating closely with local business teams to facilitate strategic objectives while proactively mitigating legal risks.
- Product Compliance: Work alongside Operations, Product, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that new product launches, features, and services align with the applicable Mexican legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Contract Management: Support the business in drafting, negotiating, and approving commercial agreements, as well as establishing Terms & Conditions for promotional campaigns, rewards programs, and marketing initiatives.
- Internal Protocols: Review and advise on standard operating procedures and internal guidelines to ensure operational efficiency and legal compliance.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Track and analyze regulatory developments impacting the e-commerce, food delivery, consumer protection, licensing, and labor sectors, providing actionable guidance to business leaders.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following professional requirements:
- Education: A professional Law degree from an accredited Mexican university.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification legal experience, with a strong emphasis on corporate law and commercial transactions.
- Skills: Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts, coupled with exceptional communication skills.
- Language: Professional fluency in English is mandatory.
- Preferred: Prior legal experience within the technology, ride-hailing, or transportation industries is highly desirable.
