Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Legal Counsel, you will be embedded directly within the business, partnering with product and project teams from inception to launch. The legal team at Revolut is focused on turning complexity into clarity, providing sharp, practical advice that enables fast-paced growth while keeping the company secure and compliant. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on compliance and legal issues surrounding the structuring of new and existing financial features.
  • Assisting in product development while managing regulatory expectations and requirements.
  • Handling complex and significant legal matters under tight turnaround times.
  • Negotiating critical commercial and banking terms to facilitate global growth.
  • Collaborating closely with the Head of Legal and other senior stakeholders on diverse legal matters.

Eligibility & Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: 1+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
  • Credentials: Excellent academic background and law firm credentials.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Proven experience advising on UK and European financial regulations, including FSMA, the FCA Handbook, BCOBS, SYSC, and PSD II.
  • Contractual Expertise: Experience in advising on general banking commercial contracts.
  • Skills: Sound judgment, composure under pressure, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to make decisions amidst ambiguity. Exceptional stakeholder management and fluent English communication skills are essential.
