A highly regarded, Legal 500-ranked property practice in London is seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Associate to join its established Leasehold Enfranchisement team. This senior-level hire is designed for a specialist lawyer with a strong reputation in the property sector and a demonstrable portable client following. The firm's dedicated enfranchisement team spans both property transactional work and property litigation, having been involved in several landmark decisions in this legal domain.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join a highly experienced team representing a diverse client base, including landlords, tenants, high-net-worth individuals, institutional investors, and large portfolio holders. The role encompasses a broad range of advisory, transactional, and contentious enfranchisement matters, including:
- Advising on statutory and voluntary lease extensions.
- Handling collective enfranchisement matters and freehold acquisitions.
- Providing strategic legal advice on rights and obligations under current enfranchisement legislation.
- Managing complex, high-value cases from inception to completion.
- Collaborating closely with professional surveyors, valuers, and other external advisers.
- Contributing actively to the business development and strategic growth of the practice group.
Eligibility Criteria

- Specialist Experience: Extensive, hands-on experience in leasehold enfranchisement law.
- Client Following: A proven, portable client following and an active professional network within the enfranchisement sector are essential.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: £100,000.00 to £120,000.00 per annum (dependent on experience and client portfolio).
