DataAnnotation is seeking qualified legal professionals for the position of Legal Analyst - AI Trainer. This is a highly flexible, remote, independent contractor role designed for individuals with an expert level of legal reasoning. The primary objective of this position is to train, evaluate, and improve the performance of AI models and chatbots by presenting them with complex legal scenarios and assessing their outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model Training & Evaluation: Present AI chatbots with diverse and complex legal problems to test their reasoning capabilities.
  • Quality Assessment: Evaluate the legal accuracy, logic, and overall performance of the outputs generated by AI models.
  • Problem Solving: Identify weaknesses in the AI's logic and provide constructive feedback to enhance the model's quality.

Eligibility & Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Requirement: Must hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Professional Experience: Currently serving as General Counsel of a company, or possessing equivalent high-level legal experience and expertise.
  • Language Proficiency: Native or bilingual fluency in English.
  • Geographic Restriction: Only applicants residing in the United States will be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: Starting at $50.00 to $60.00 USD per hour, with potential bonus rates available on specific projects.
  • Flexibility: Work on your own schedule, from the comfort of your home, using your own computer. You have the autonomy to choose which projects to work on.
