- Invoice Preparation: Review and edit pre-bills, manage billable hours, adjust rates or discounts, and generate final client invoices.
- Electronic Billing (eBilling): Compile LEDES files, upload invoices to client vendor portals (e.g., eBillingHub), and address rejections or short-paid appeals.
- Compliance Enforcement: Ensure all invoices strictly adhere to complex, client-specific billing guidelines and fee agreements.
- Collaboration: Partner with billing attorneys and administrative staff to secure invoice approvals and facilitate write-downs or write-offs.
- Accounts Receivable: Track outstanding balances, research billing discrepancies, and assist in collections to maximize firm cash flow.
- Reporting: Generate billing, unbilled revenue, and work-in-progress (WIP) reports for firm leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of dedicated billing experience, specifically within the legal sector or a professional services environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with legal accounting software such as Aderant, Elite 3E, eBillingHub, BillBlast, and TimeSolv is highly desired.
