Description: Giesecke+Devrient is seeking a Legal & Compliance Counsel to deliver comprehensive legal, compliance, and data privacy support across multiple entities and jurisdictions. This hands-on role involves drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, implementing compliance frameworks, and serving as the Data Privacy Officer to ensure alignment with local and international data protection laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Counsel: Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements (customer, supplier, service provider, subcontracting, and public tenders) and advise on corporate governance, HR, and procurement.
- Compliance Counsel: Implement and monitor compliance and regulatory frameworks, conduct risk assessments, and manage compliance training and incident investigations.
- Data Privacy Oversight: Act as the Data Privacy Officer, manage data subject requests, handle breach incidents, and coordinate with regulatory authorities.
