About the Role and Client
The client is a reputable bank looking to bolster its legal department by onboarding a seasoned legal professional. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely, practical, and commercially sound legal advice across a broad spectrum of banking products, services, and operational matters. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance legal compliance with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Advisory: Deliver high-quality, practical, and commercially viable legal advice on banking products, services, and day-to-day operational issues.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal instruments, including loan documentation, commercial agreements, client documentation, and vendor contracts.
- Risk Assessment: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks associated with business activities, new product launches, and corporate transactions.
- Policy Development: Assist in drafting and implementing internal legal policies, compliance procedures, and training programs for staff.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal business units and coordinate with external legal counsels when specialized litigation or advice is required.
- Reporting: Escalate potential legal risks and regulatory issues to senior management with clear mitigation proposals.
Eligibility Criteria
