Title: Legal Counsel at bolt Category: Jobs Organiser: bolt Description: bolt, a leading insurance exchange for the Property and Casualty (P&C) industry, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its United States legal function. The role is designed for a legal professional capable of providing expert SaaS and technology support for business-critical initiatives. The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to various business units, with a primary focus on supporting Sales and Product teams through the end-to-end contracting process and the development of new products, including Artificial Intelligence and digital initiatives. The position involves identifying and resolving legal and regulatory issues to meet business objectives while monitoring legislative developments affecting the technology industry. Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, such as SaaS licensing agreements, Data Protection Agreements (DPAs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Additionally, the Legal Counsel will advise on risk management, cybersecurity, and compliance to ensure the company’s strategic objectives align with applicable laws. Eligibility: * Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. * Active admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction. * Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in technology law. * Significant experience in technology/SaaS contract drafting and negotiation. * Proven ability to manage multiple projects autonomously in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
