Title: Legal Counsel at Modulr Category: Jobs Organiser: Modulr Description: Modulr is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its high-performing legal function based in London. As a leading payments automation platform, Modulr processes over 200 million transactions and £180 billion annually, providing mission-critical finance operations for more than 6,000 businesses. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s growth by handling a diverse remit of legal matters within the fintech and payments space. The role involves negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts, technology deals, and banking relationships. The Legal Counsel will provide practical, commercially grounded regulatory advice across various business functions, including data protection, intellectual property, and emerging legal areas. Key responsibilities also include working directly with C-suite stakeholders, managing external law firms on litigation matters, and contributing to the improvement of internal legal processes and governance. Eligibility: * Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 4–5 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE). * Solid experience in commercial contracts with a background in financial services, payments, fintech, or banking. * Proficiency in data protection regulations (GDPR / UK GDPR). * Experience working within an FCA-regulated environment is highly desirable. * Demonstrated commercial pragmatism and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced in-house environment. * Experience working across different legal jurisdictions is considered advantageous.
