Job Title: Legal Counsel at HashKey Capital
HashKey Capital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join their team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing legal documents, providing holistic risk assessment and suggestions to enhance business value while mitigating downside risk across multiple areas of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for drafting and reviewing legal documents and providing holistic risk assessment and suggestions to enhance business value while mitigating downside risk across multiple areas of the company.
- Assist in the negotiation of investment contracts and agreements, and support in a variety of transactional and corporate governance initiatives.
- Assist in liaising with regulatory bodies and authorities to obtain necessary approvals and licenses.
- Navigate licensing requirements for digital assets-related activities, such as digital payment services and digital assets management.
- Monitor and interpret evolving regulations and guidelines in the crypto and blockchain space.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school in a common law jurisdiction, admitted to the bar is highly preferred.
- 1-4 years of experience in legal roles in reputable law firms with experience in Crypto and Web 3, financial services, investment, and/or asset management, in-house working experience is a plus.
- Strong interest in the digital assets space. Previous experience with digital asset management, digital payment token services, crypto exchange, or blockchain startups, and an in-depth understanding of cryptocurrency technologies, blockchain, and related legal issues is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks governing cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing regulatory landscapes and provide proactive legal guidance.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
