Job Opportunity: Legal Counsel at Vestas
Vestas is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their Offshore Transactions team in Edinburgh, Scotland. The successful candidate will have experience as a transactional lawyer working with infrastructure contracts and will be responsible for partnering with the NCE offshore sales department, reviewing and analyzing tender documents, drafting and negotiating contracts, and managing external law firms.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the NCE offshore sales department to negotiate offshore wind transactions
- Review and analyze tender documents, identify and help address legal/contractual risks
- Draft, review, and negotiate turbine sales contracts and long-term service agreements
- Manage the support of external law firms
- Support the contract management and project management teams during the execution phases of transactions
Qualifications
- Master of Laws or equivalent
- Qualified lawyer in Scotland or England with at least 5 years of experience as a transactional lawyer
- Previous experience in the renewables sector
- Experience negotiating FIDIC contracts
- Knowledge of handling complex infrastructure contracts
- Fluency in spoken and written English
