Key Responsibilities

As a Legal Counsel, the selected candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to local management and regional business/sales teams. Key duties include:

• Contract Negotiation: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating customer and commercial contracts, including tender documents, in alignment with DSV Group policies.
• Corporate Governance: Handling corporate law matters, including maintaining articles of association, managing annual shareholder meetings, and ensuring general corporate regulatory compliance.
• Dispute Resolution: Providing legal counsel on material claims and litigation, and coordinating closely with DSV Group Legal.
• External Liaison: Engaging and instructing external legal counsel, and representing the company before local authorities such as customs and police on regulatory matters.
• Regulatory Monitoring: Keeping abreast of changes in local industry-specific legislation and providing regular internal legal updates.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Professional Qualification: Must be a qualified lawyer or solicitor in the Middle East region.
• Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification experience as a Senior Associate in a reputable law firm or as an in-house Legal Counsel.
• Practice Areas: Proven exposure to general corporate and commercial law, contract negotiation, transactions, and real estate matters.
• Language Skills: Excellent business and legal English proficiency is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong collaborative skills, a highly structured approach to work, and the ability to confidently advise senior management.
