This role is key to supporting Temu's global operations, developing robust compliance programs, and managing legal documentation related to data privacy. Key Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the business to assess potential data privacy, security risks, as well as regulatory controls and governance for products and technologies.
- Support the business in building trustworthy, privacy-first products and services.
- Advise on the management and use of data, including privacy matters related to product, marketing, advertising, and data governance practices.
- Provide subject matter expert advice in connection with regulatory investigations, individual complaints, and inquiries across all areas of global privacy law.
- Structure, draft, review, and negotiate data protection terms in various commercial agreements.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school or equivalent.
- Active membership in good standing with a recognized bar association.
- Extensive experience in data privacy law, with in-depth knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, PIPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Proven track record of advising on complex data privacy issues, developing compliance programs, and implementing privacy solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
