TikTok is seeking a highly skilled and motivated mid-level lawyer to join its Global eCommerce Legal Business Partner team as Legal Counsel (eCommerce - Product) in London, United Kingdom. This full-time, mid-senior level role is designed for legal professionals looking to navigate the complex and rapidly evolving digital regulatory landscape of the EU and UK. The successful candidate will support TikTok’s expanding eCommerce operations, focusing on online product features, data governance, and privacy compliance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Legal Counsel, you will serve as the primary legal point of contact for business clients in the EU and UK. Key duties include:

• Regulatory Compliance: Leading compliance matters across the EU, ensuring adherence to the Digital Services Act (DSA), Digital Markets Act (DMA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other national laws.
• Product Review: Conducting legal reviews of product features, algorithm/data usage, and artificial intelligence-generated content (AIGC) initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with internal teams specializing in privacy, regulatory affairs, intellectual property (IP), competition, and public policy to deliver unified legal advice.
• Contract Drafting: Drafting and negotiating retail, digital content, and advertising-related agreements, as well as maintaining online terms and conditions in local languages.
• Process Improvement: Enhancing operational efficiency by updating legal templates, processes, and internal training programs.

Eligibility & Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a mid-level lawyer qualified to practice in France, Italy, Poland, or Spain.
• Strong expertise in EU legislation and national laws, particularly in consumer protection, privacy, antitrust, and intellectual property.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements within the retail, digital content, or advertising sectors.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex legal issues into actionable business advice.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior legal experience working within the eCommerce or technology sectors.
• A deep understanding of the European digital regulatory framework, especially concerning online marketplaces.
• Experience collaborating with international, cross-jurisdictional teams.
