Checkout.com is seeking a talented and dynamic Legal Counsel with a strong global employment law background to join its Employment Legal team in London. This permanent, full-time role involves advising on a full spectrum of global employment law issues (including hiring, contracts, policies, compensation, HR compliance, and litigation) across the UK, EMEA, APAC, and the Americas. The role reports to the Associate General Counsel (Head of Employment) and operates on a hybrid model requiring three days per week in the London office.Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on global employment-related issues including hiring, contractual issues, policies, compensation, benefits, and HR compliance.
• Develop processes and templates to address employment issues practically, including the use of AI tools.
• Lead advice in designated countries and collaborate on global employment law projects.

Requirements:

• UK qualified lawyer with 4+ years PQE as an employment lawyer (Senior Legal Counsel level applicants are also welcome).
• Ability to commute to the London office for hybrid work (3 days/week).
• Experience as in-house employment counsel in a global, fast-paced, or high-growth technology business is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
